Wildland Fuel Management Program

On March 2, 2018, the San Marino City Council approved the creation of the Wildland Fuel Management Program involving the enforcement of the City's Fire Code for clearance of hazardous vegetation near structures and roads in the High Fire Hazard Severity Zone.

The San Marino Fire Department will initiate hazardous vegetation inspections every year during the month of June. To prepare for these annual inspections, the Fire Department recommends that homeowners located in the High Fire Hazard Severity Zone take the following steps:

  • Conduct a thorough and comprehensive inspection of your property using the Annual Brush Clearance Checklist.
  • Remove any hazardous refuse or hazardous vegetation from your property, as defined in Section 4908 of the San Marino City Code; Clearance of Hazardous Vegetation from Structures and Roads within the City of San Marino.
